Chatrium is thrilled to announce the addition of Lacol Hotel Khao Yai to our esteemed Chatrium Collection. This remarkable luxury resort is nestled within the enchanting Khao Yai National Park, Thailand, offering guests an indulgent retreat amidst lush greenery.
The rebranded Lacol Khao Yai presents a haven of relaxation and luxury, with spacious, modern accommodations that afford stunning mountain views. Guests can revel in an array of amenities and activities, from our refreshing outdoor pool and well-equipped fitness center to the restorative spa. Culinary enthusiasts can indulge in diverse dining experiences, including a buffet restaurant, à la carte dining, and the unique see-through Domes, providing 360-degree views in an exclusive, enclosed setting. The Domes are perfect for romantic moments, and reservations are highly recommended due to their popularity.
Lacol Khao Yai, part of the Chatrium Collection, consists of 125 spacious guest rooms, each boasting a private balcony or terrace and equipped with the latest amenities. Younger guests are also catered to with our children’s club.
We are delighted to have Thawintorn ‘Natt’ Kanungkid as the resort’s General Manager. Under his guidance, the resort is embarking on expansions to enhance guest experiences. Since becoming a part of the Chatrium Collection, we’ve witnessed a surge in business.
While 80 percent of our guests are Thai, we also welcome international visitors, primarily from Singapore and India. A key focus is diversifying our market mix, with a majority of visitors being seminar groups or corporate team building events. Sustainability is a core value, evident in our organic garden supplying fresh produce to our restaurant.
In a conversation with GM Thawintorn, he highlighted the labor shortage challenge exacerbated by COVID-19. Nevertheless, he sees potential in attracting younger, entry-level employees to the hospitality industry, which he considers a priority.
For relaxation, our expansive outdoor pool and the Varin Wellness Center, with its Japanese Onsen, are perfect choices. Furthermore, we are conveniently located just 5 kilometers from the entrance to Khao Yai National Park, where you can explore the rich wildlife and natural beauty.
Khao Yai, Thailand’s first national park established in 1962, is the country’s third-largest national park. It’s a must-visit for its iconic wildlife, including Great Hornbills and Gibbons, and is home to elephants, tigers, and monkeys. Hiking, biking, and birdwatching are among the park’s attractions.
Situated primarily in Nakhon Ratchasima province, Khao Yai extends into Prachinburi, Saraburi, and Nakhon Nayok provinces. This UNESCO World Heritage Site spans 2,168 square kilometers, encompassing rainforests, evergreen forests, and grasslands, with Khao Rom as the park’s highest peak.
