Winner of the Hospitality Asia Platinum Award for “Pastry Masterchef” and 30-year industry veteran Chef Kongkrit Chinpala is truly a Professor of the Pastries, a Doctor of Desserts, and dare we say it, a Maestro of Meringues!
Chef Kongkrit is known throughout the trade for his customized breads, cookies, cakes, desserts and sweet and savory pastry items of all shapes and sizes with his signature dishes consisting of a delectably delicious Blueberry Cheesecake and decadent Chocolate Marquis with Earl Grey Tea.
His passion for the culinary arts led to him becoming Assistant Chef at the 5-star Grand Hyatt Riyadh in Saudi Arabia after which his true calling brought him back to Thailand working in the bakery kitchen in a number of luxury properties before taking the helm in the pastry kitchen at Chatrium Riverside as the creator of some of Bangkok’s most wonderfully indulgent bakery and dessert items.
His creations are extremely popular with both in-house guests and people who’re looking for a tasty treat to take home and word has spread far and wide about the modest magician in the pastry kitchen at Chatrium.
“I hope that my passion for baking is evident in every single batch that I remove from the oven as my sole intention is that I leave my customers wanting just that little bit more! Nothing gives me greater pleasure than by seeing the look of delight on a guest’s face when they take the very first bite of a piping hot sausage roll or creamy slice of gateaux and when they leave their plate without the slightest crumb or morsel left there’s a smile on my face too” he says.
