Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon organized a special monsoon tree planting activity on Saturday, Aug 24th at 18-Mile Forest Meditation Center near Yangon as part of our environmental commitment to the community.
We have been working closely together with a local NGO (Myanmar Tree Lovers Association) and planted trees using funds donated by our Chatrium associates. This year, we planted 3,000 shade trees including teak, Burma padauk, mahogany and tapay-buta in this 60 acre area to regenerate the environment and protect it from threatening natural disasters.
As part of Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon’s CSR activities and “Think First Think Earth” environmental initiatives, we undertake an annual tree planting activity to ease the harm and destruction of Mother Earth.
Ms. May Myat Mon Win, General Manager of Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon, stated that “This is the 5th tree-planting activity the Chatrium Family has undertaken as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility to the environment to reduce harmful impacts such as carbon emissions. We are also excited to be participating in more new campaigns for our environment to make it a better place to live in for everyone.”
