A new shopping mall has become one of Bangkok’s must-see attractions due to its sheer size and variety, and to its location on the bank of the Chao Phraya River.
‘The Mother of All Malls’, as it has been called, has two towers, 80,000 square meters of land – it is an enormous retail and dining experience that dominates several city blocks.
Home to the first Takashiyama Department Store in Bangkok, it also offers an estimated 500 shops, 100 restaurants from more than 30 different countries, and a multimedia light show that is visible from several kilometers away.
Icon Siam is open daily from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
The easiest way to get to the Icon Siam Shopping mall is by its free shuttle boat service from Sathon Pier, right down the stairs from the Saphan Taksin Station of the BTS Skytrain.
